In short
TruOwn only uses cookies and storage that the service needs in order to work. We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so we don't ask you to accept any.
Cookies we set
- Session cookie: keeps you signed in after you log in. It can't be read by page scripts (HttpOnly) and ends when you log out or it expires.
- Admin verification cookie: only for TruOwn staff, after they complete two-factor verification.
Storage on your device
- Theme choice: if you pick light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser. It never leaves your device.
- Offline copy of the site shell: so pages still open on a weak connection, your browser keeps a copy of public page files. Item checks and account data are never stored this way.
What we don't use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Third-party analytics or social-media trackers.
- Location tracking or microphone access.
Your choices
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Clearing the session cookie signs you out. If we ever add optional cookies, we'll ask first and update this page. See also the Privacy Policy.
