What we collect

Your phone number, backup email, and the identifiers of items you register (IMEI, VIN, chassis number, serial number). Documents you upload (receipts, photos) are stored encrypted. We never collect your location or access your microphone.

What never appears on the public check

Anyone checking an item's status sees its status, trust level, registration date, and how many previous owners it's had — never your name, phone number, email, or location.

The tamper-evident record

Every action (registering, transferring, reporting) is recorded in a hash-chained log that is periodically anchored to a public blockchain for independent verification. That log stores only pseudonymous identifiers and action types — never your name, phone number, or email.

Your rights

  • Export — download a copy of your own data from Account Settings at any time.
  • Delete — delete your account from Account Settings. We scrub your phone number, email, and password immediately; your transfer and item history stays (other people's records depend on it), but it's no longer linked to anything that identifies you.
  • Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after deletion to handle any open disputes or legal requirements. The tamper-evident event log is retained indefinitely by design — that's what makes it tamper-evident — but it never carries personal data.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties except where legally required (for example, responding to a lawful police request) or where you've explicitly asked us to (for example, a found-item message you choose to answer).
